Chicago 1993 first baseman Frank Thomas helped his team beat the Houston 1980 Astros, 6-2. Thomas, who is on pace to hit 42 home runs this season, went 2 for 3 for the White Sox. Chicago 1993 pitcher Jack McDowell got the win, upping his record to 5-1. Nolan Ryan got the loss. The White Sox have an impressive 25-10 record.

The Astros had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the White Sox going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 31-year old right fielder Dan Pasqua came to the plate. Pasqua hit a solo home run on a 1-0 fastball from Houston 1980 hurler Nolan Ryan. It was Pasqua's 7th home run of the year.

Thomas told a Chicago 1993 Gazette reporter he was "pleased as punch" with the win.
