The Seattle 1998 Mariners trumped the New York 1962 Yankees, 8-4, at Kingdome. Seattle 1998 left fielder Glenallen Hill was terrific. He went 2-4 with a home run, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Seattle 1998 bumps their record to 18-26 with the win.

With Seattle 1998 leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Hill hit a fastball from Whitey Ford for a 3-run home run. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Mariners ahead, 4-0.

"It was a solid, all-around game for us," said Seattle 1998 manager Kelly Audia.
