April's AL Batter of Month Award Announced Thursday, May 1st , 2025 When guys like New York 1962's Mickey Mantle win Batter of the Month awards, it just makes you feel good. In a productive April, the longtime American League veteran toyed with opposing pitchers, collecting 37 hits in 89 at-bats. The veteran center fielder hit for a .416 batting average and collected 11 home runs, 26 RBIs and 23 runs scored. Mantle is hitting .368 this year with 13 home runs and 35 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .503, 34 walks and scored 31 times. |
