AL Player of the Week Named Monday, May 12th , 2025 It was an extraordinary week for Mickey Mantle of the New York 1962 Yankees. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .450, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the American League. Last week Mantle went 9-for-20, racked up 5 home runs and 8 RBIs and scored 9 runs. It was a heck of a week for the New York 1962 center fielder.
