Alan Trammell Drills 3 HR in One Game
Tuesday, May 13th , 2025
Every now and then, everything just comes together.
Alan Trammell discovered that today at Tiger Stadium, as he smashed three home runs during the 11-4 Detroit 1984 Tigers win over the Texas 1999 Rangers.
"I got three balls to hit and nailed all three of them," the Detroit 1984 shortstop said in his postgame interview. "The first was a hanging curve, the second was right down the middle and the last one was a good pitch, but I guessed right and put the wood to it."
Trammell, who is a three-time Gold Glove Award winner, finished the day with 4 hits in 4 at-bats and 6 RBIs.
Alan Trammell hit a solo-shot off Rick Helling in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Mike Munoz in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Eric Gunderson in the 8th.
In the current season, Trammell has put up a .320 batting average with 58 hits, 16 home runs, 39 runs batted in and scored 38 runs.
