Ripken Jr. Sizzles with 30-Game Batting Streak Friday, May 23rd , 2025 Nobody has been able to shut down Baltimore 1983 Orioles shortstop Cal Ripken Jr. in recent days. The Oakland 1990 Athletics fared no better than the rest. Today at Memorial Stadium, Ripken Jr. picked up 1 hit in 5 at-bats en route to a win, 9-8. It stretched his hitting string to 30 consecutive games. Cal Ripken Jr. struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In the 2025 season Ripken Jr. is hitting .344 with 18 home runs. |
