Ripken Jr. Sizzles with 31-Game Batting Streak Saturday, May 24th , 2025 Cal Ripken Jr. of the Baltimore 1983 Orioles extended his hitting streak to 31 straight games with 1 hit in today's 5-1 triumph over the Oakland 1990 Athletics at Memorial Stadium. "Cal has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Orioles manager Kelly Audia joked after the game. Cal Ripken Jr. grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Dave Otto in the 5th and grounded out in the 7th. In 57 games this year, Ripken Jr. has posted a .344 average and put up these numbers: 19 home runs, 54 RBIs and 41 runs scored. |
