Greg Litton Bashes Three over the Wall Tuesday, May 27th , 2025 It was a special day for Greg Litton, but less so for the San Francisco 1989 Giants. Litton slammed three home runs against the St. Louis 1985 Cardinals, but the Cardinals outhit him and got the win by a score of 8-7. "Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The San Francisco 1989 second baseman finished the day at Candlestick Park with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored.
