Greg Litton Bashes Three over the Wall

It was a special day for Greg Litton, but less so for the San Francisco 1989 Giants.
Litton slammed three home runs against the St. Louis 1985 Cardinals, but the Cardinals outhit him and got the win by a score of 8-7.
"Lately, I been uppercutting the ball too much. I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark," he said to sportswriters after the game. "No big long outs for me in this game -- I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot three times. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em."
The San Francisco 1989 second baseman finished the day at Candlestick Park with 3 hits in 4 at-bats, 5 RBI and 3 runs scored.
Greg Litton hit a solo-shot off Kurt Kepshire in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Kurt Kepshire in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Ken Dayley in the 8th.
So far in 2025 Litton is batting .326 with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 30 hits in 92 at-bats and a .337 OBP.
