Raines Gets Number 2000 Friday, May 30th , 2025 He made it! Tim Raines got hit #2000! The White Sox left fielder got his milestone hit at Comiskey Park against Oakland 1990. But it wasn't enough to bring home the victory. Chicago 1993 was beaten by the Athletics 14-5. Raines's reaction to his accomplishment was nonchalant. He doffed his batting helmet to acknowledge the fans, who were chanting his name. His manager said, "Tim doesn't pay any attention to individual statistics, the only thing he cares about is winning.
