Newcomer Honored by American League Sunday, June 1st , 2025 Dan Morogiello of the Baltimore 1983 Orioles might be a newcomer to the league, but he definitely is a player. He proved it this month with an exceptional 2-0 won-lost mark and fine 1.80 ERA. For that outstanding performance Morogiello was named the American League Rookie of the Month. In May he started 0 games, tossed 10 innings, yielded 14 base hits, fanned 3 and walked 5. Opposing hitters managed a .333 average against him. So far this year, Morogiello has chalked up 15 saves. In 24 relief appearances, he has 7 strikeouts in 25 innings with a 2.16 ERA. His season won-lost mark is 3-1. |
