Darling Tosses No-Hitter Against Braves
Wednesday, June 25th , 2025
It was a fantastic day for New York 1986 Mets starter Ron Darling and a lousy day for the Atlanta 1995 Braves.
The New York 1986 hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Braves, as the Mets cruised to a 15-0 win. When it was all over, Darling was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.
"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Darling said later.
He rang up 5 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk while shutting Atlanta 1995 down at Shea Stadium.
Checking out his stats for the season, Darling has racked up 3 wins and 10 losses in 17 starts, posted a 7.18 ERA, and struck out 73 batters in 84 innings.
