Indians Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
|
The Cleveland 1995 Indians defeated the Kansas City 1977 Royals, 4-3, in 10 innings in American League action at Jacobs Field. Cleveland 1995 pitcher Chad Ogea had a standout performance. John Farrell snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-1 on the season. Steve Mingori suffered the loss. The second-place Indians have won 8 straight games.
The Indians got a clutch hit from first baseman Eddie Murray. In the bottom of the tenth, he hit a run-scoring single to center, to win the game for the Indians.
"We're playing hard," said Murray, "and we're playing to win."
