Rangers Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
The Texas 1999 Rangers racked up a win at The Ballpark in Arlington, bumping off the Tampa Bay 2013 Rays, 6-5. Mark Clark, who started for Texas 1999, pitched effectively for his team. John Wetteland, who is a two-time All-Star, was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-2. The losing pitcher was Fernando Rodney. The losses continue to mount for Tampa Bay 2013, which has now dropped 7 in a row.

The decisive blow was delivered by Mark McLemore in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 36-year old right-handed pitcher Fernando Rodney to win the game for Texas 1999. The home crowd went nuts.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Kelly Audia, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
