Baltimore 1983 Gets 7-4 Win Against Royals
|
The Baltimore 1983 Orioles dumped the Kansas City 1977 Royals, 7-4, in large part due to first baseman Eddie Murray. On the day, Murray was 3-4 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Orioles. The winner was Jim Palmer, who threw 102 pitches over 6.2 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 5 hits. Baltimore 1983 now sports a record of 41-46.
Early in the game, Murray had a run-scoring double for Baltimore 1983. It was his 18th double of the season and put the Orioles on top, 3-2.
"This is a great group to be a part of, and it's a big win for us," Murray told the Baltimore 1983 Gazette.
