Simms Delivers Walk-Off Win for Rangers
In a high-scoring contest between Texas 1999 and Chicago 1993, catcher Ivan Rodriguez was a difference-maker. Rodriguez, who is on pace to hit 43 home runs this season, distinguished himself in the 9-8 Texas 1999 win. He went 4-5 with 4 singles, while scoring 3 runs. Texas 1999 reliever Tim Crabtree snagged the win, upping his record to 4-3. Scott Radinsky shouldered the loss. The setback makes Chicago 1993 51-34.

Texas 1999 got a knockout punch from Mike Simms. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Simms, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
