In a seemingly effortless performance, Curt Schilling of the Boston 2004 Red Sox shot down the Los Angeles 2008 Angels, 8-0, on 4 hits.
"Curt was just locating so well and using his pitches," Boston 2004 manager Kelly Audia said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."
Schilling recorded 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.
"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Los Angeles 2008 manager Kelly Audia said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."
On his stats sheet this season, Schilling shows a 7-3 record, 12 starts, 83.2 innings, 73 strikeouts and a 3.33 ERA.
